journal #3
Hello again!
OK, here's another journal topic:
Bessie and Sadie explain how the girls in their family did different things from the boys. In your family or home culture, what are some activities that only girls do? What about activities for boys only? Are there many activities that are divided by gender (being a boy or being a girl)?
Post your journal entry as a comment. Write for 10 minutes about the topic. Don't stop - and please remember not to worry about grammar or spelling.

Girls and boys' habits and hobbies are different and this divergence – in my humble opinion – is natural among all cultures. To describe the hobbies and activities girls usually involved with, a look at the changes my cultures has gone thru is a must. Looking at the pictures of the activities my sisters had at their youth look a lot different than what i see my nieces doing or playing these days. My sisters used to describe their life and how they used to play with kids in the neighborhood. Nowadays, we can hardly see girls playing with boys. My sisters showed men photos that make me feel happy as they take me back in time. Stories and comments they tell on each photo ignite the emotional feelings toward seeing my older sisters and brothers playing together in the street and looking funny in their 70s clothes and hair style! The sea was few steps walking from our old home, so they used to go and play at the beach with the sand and old boats remaining, after they get destroyed in long sea trips. Our city was a very simple coastal village where most of its residents were fisher-men with their families. Now, our city became modern and hobbies girls like to do are much different. Girls at the age of 11 started to get more into taking responsibilities and willing to get educated. They spend their time reading and reading and reading.. they are more focused on SELF DEVELOPMENT. Not only because their parents are educated but also because they want to proof them selves.
